Gianrocco is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at IUSS Pavia, focusing his research activity on risk assessment, seismic retrofitting and progressive collapse of buildings. He earned, in 2017, his MSc in Civil Engineering with honours from the University of Pavia. He worked on the study of induced seismicity effects in buildings in Groningen, at ARUP in Amsterdam, followed by a PhD in Earthquake Engineering at IUSS Pavia in 2023. With teaching experience at both the University of Pavia and IUSS Pavia, he has received awards including the QuakeCore centre blind prediction contest prize, recognition from MDPI and Consorzio Inter-universitario ReLUIS for his impactful research projects.
